From the very beginning, the production of Neutro Roberts’ deodorant sticks has been rooted in Florence’s rich pharmaceutical heritage.
Today, that tradition continues at our historic site in Calenzano, just outside Florence.
In 1843, the English chemist Henry Roberts arrived in Florence, at 17 Via Tornabuoni. There, he founded the H. Roberts & Co. English and American Chemist and Druggist Pharmaceutical Laboratory. From that moment, a true revolution began in the personal care and hygiene category. About sixty years later, in 1904, the first solid soap was created—made with glycerin and formulated to be gentle enough even for children’s skin.
